OCEAN DANCE
The temptation is there
But I have stayed strong
Memories of you start with a gentle blow
Then as any good storm begins
It teases your senses until you can feel it's natural force
I use your glide to massage my way through the currents
Always keeping in mind
Your strength
I shake down my body like a horse dusting off
I bury my head deep in the bosom of the wind and charge with strong heart and a warm body
My breathing starts off at a pant
Nostrils barely flaring
Then, I'm at a steady gallop
I feel as though I'm in the lead of a battle
Breathing heavier, deeper, slower…
Eyes focused forward, head down
I'm hunting
I have no control over my body
You do
You flow through my veins
You provide for me
You sing to me
You know everything about me
In the moonlit hours, you call for me to join you in your darkness
I'm not afraid of you
But do have most respect for your wintery dance…
