The Restart of the Real Start

FINALLY!!! The Start of the Iditarod! Scott, his buddy Rick and I headed off to the start Sunday mid-afternoon. We got there walked around some, but mostly helped those that needed it.

It was a great turn out and it was a breath of fresh air to watch the teams leave. It is a great amazing journey that these mushers have ahead of them, that for sure. Cold temperatures, winds that are unheard of, critters they'll see along the way and most of all, exhaustion from lack of sleep, for the dogs and the mushers. 

I wish them all a safe and memorable journey and can't wait to hear some good stories... I am sure there will be a lot!
