PUPPIES!!!

One of the good reasons for having these pups up on the glacier, the interaction with other dogs and being handled by LOTS of people. They have a better social life then those of us on the glacier... well, I don't know about that, but they get handled more than us! Yeah, well most of us.
Whenever a musher has a dog that has a litter, they tend to name them after a theme. After cheeses, planets, cities, alcohols, etc. The reason the mushers do this is so that they can remember who came from what breeding. Kind of like how other breeders choose to go through the alphabet. I think this why is less how would you say in english... storm like. I helped Matt come up with his teams name, sled parts. I know sounds silly, but it's really cool. You have Runner and Stanchion are the boys and Brush and Bow are the girls. Well, all the names stuck, but Stanchion, he's Tug now.
*Runner, that's what you stand on, there are two of them, runners.
*Stanchion is a support bar for the sled.
*The Brush-bow is curved and in front of the sled to help to protect the sled from brush and such.
*Tug, actually tug line, is attached to the back of the harness which is on the dog. The tug line is attached to the gang line, which is attached to the sled. Lots of pulling power.
So let me introduce you the first puppies born on the Denver Glacier for the 2011 season!
